What happens when you just read

The site is static and does not ask you to create an account. You do not have to give us anything to read the articles.

Before you answer the cookie question, the site makes no analytics request: gtag.js is not downloaded, no measurement is sent and no analytics cookie is set. The pages themselves are delivered by Firebase Hosting, which is also a Google service; that request always happens the moment you open a page, because it is how the page reaches you.

If you choose "Accept", Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-9QK2GED157) loads so we can see in aggregate which pages get read. IP anonymisation is on. We run no ads and no remarketing: the site explicitly denies ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation — all three stay denied even after you accept.

If you choose "Reject", or if you do not answer at all, Google Analytics does not load.

What you send us

We only collect what you type:

• Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), subject (optional), your message, the page language and a marker that the message came from the contact page.
• Newsletter: your email address, the page language and a marker that the sign-up came from the home page form.
• Chat: the message you write, the language, a fixed instruction telling the assistant which language to answer in, and a random session id kept in your browser. Replies are generated by an AI assistant — please do not type sensitive information there.

None of it is stored on the site itself: these are static pages with no database.

Where this site sends data

The services the website itself talks to are:

• Google (Firebase Hosting) — serves the pages and receives the technical request data needed to deliver them to you.
• Google (Google Analytics 4) — audience statistics, only after you choose "Accept".
• The n8n automation service we run with an external provider (Elestio) — it receives contact form, newsletter and chat messages and forwards them to our office.

Your choices

• The cookie question has two equally weighted buttons, "Accept" and "Reject". Neither is pre-selected.
• You can change or withdraw your answer at any time from the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
• You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
• Google provides an official Google Analytics opt-out add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
• Your theme and language preferences stay in your browser only and disappear if you clear browsing data.

Your rights

The GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete and restrict your data, to object to processing and to data portability. To exercise any of them, email info@nepal.gr.

You also have the right to complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
